Hi. My name is Az.

I am 23, and I am a trans genderqueer artist, writer & model based in Brighton, UK.

My work is based around breaking down the binary, ultimately to help make the world a safer place for LGBTQ+ people to survive in. I use my art & lived experiences to help affirm LGBTQ+ people in their identities, as well as help to educate cis/het people in simple, clear and creative ways.

I use my online platforms @youcancallmeaz to fight for equal rights for marginalised people, specifically LBGTQ+ people. Outside of that I hold discussions about my experiences, as a transgender individual with others, both in spoken & written word. I’ve written articles for publications such as HuffPost, Feminist, Diversify your Narrative etc. I collaborate with other creators, businesses, charities & brands to help increase their gender representation & to amplify LGBTQ+ voices. I also model.

In my spare time I draw at every opportunity.

I run an Etsy store where I sell my art on clothing, stickers, badges, posters, prints & more.
